Free Authority Audit
Where MV-Electronics stands today across messaging, AI visibility, search rankings, technical health, and domain authority — and what to fix first.
Your messaging sounds like everyone else's
"Precision." "Reliability." "Comprehensive solutions." "We make sourcing easy." Every competitor on the first page of Google says the same thing. A design engineer scanning five supplier sites in ten minutes has no reason to remember you — and no reason to believe you.
What's on the site today
"Your Partner in Precision Timing."
Why it doesn't land
"Precision" is the price of entry in this category — nobody sells imprecise oscillators. The claim doesn't tell the engineer what breaks when they choose wrong, or what they get by choosing you.
Sharper version
"A 0.5 ppm drift in your reference clock is a dropped GPS lock, a failed handshake, a returned board. We hold the tolerance your datasheet promised your customer."
What's on the site today
"We make sourcing timing products easy" / "fast shipping preventing costly delays."
Why it doesn't land
"Easy" and "fast" are abstractions. The buyer's real fear is a production line idled for six weeks waiting on a 32.768 kHz crystal from a distributor that doesn't return calls.
Sharper version
"When Digi-Key shows 47 weeks lead time, we ship from US stock the same day. Your line keeps running. Your customer never hears the word 'backorder.'"
What's on the site today
"We solve your most critical problems, allowing you to focus on innovation while we handle the technical details."
Why it doesn't land
This sentence could be pasted onto a law firm, an MSP, or a cleaning service. There is nothing in it that says "oscillators," nothing that says "MV," and nothing a competitor couldn't claim word-for-word tomorrow.
Sharper version
"Send us your spec — even a hand-drawn one. We'll come back inside 24 hours with a part number, a price, a lead time, and the trade-offs the datasheet won't tell you."
The rule
Don't name the feature. Name the failure the feature prevents, and the customer your customer is trying not to disappoint. If a competitor could swap their logo onto your homepage and nothing would feel wrong — the copy isn't doing its job.
AI Visibility: You show up just 2% of the time
We tested several prompts in the top LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity), including:
"What are the best crystal oscillator manufacturers for custom and low-volume timing components?"
| Brand | Visibility | Avg. Position |
|---|---|---|
| Microchip | 61% | #3.4 |
| Abracon | 60% | #5.0 |
| SiTime | 40% | #5.6 |
| Rakon | 36% | #4.2 |
| Epson | 24% | #4.5 |
| MV-ElectronicsYOU | 2% | #3.0 |
Google rankings: poor
Here's how you rank for some of the most important keywords in your industry:
| Keyword | Volume | Rank |
|---|---|---|
| quartz crystal oscillator | 250 | Not ranking |
| ocxo oscillator | 200 | Not ranking |
| 32.768 khz crystal | 150 | Not ranking |
| low jitter oscillator | 100 | Not ranking |
| tcxo oscillator | 80 | Not ranking |
Target keywords: also poor
Here's how you rank for the requested target keywords.
| Keyword | Volume | Rank |
|---|---|---|
| wien bridge oscillator frequency stability | 80 | Not ranking |
| frequency stability of oscillator | 40 | Not ranking |
| crystal oscillator stability | 10 | Not ranking |
| crystal oscillator frequency stability | 10 | Not ranking |
| oscillator frequency stability | 10 | Not ranking |
Technical site health: 58%
This means your site has many back-end mistakes that discourage Google from ranking it.
Reddit's role in your category
Based on the tested prompts, its influence on AI is negligible. Its influence on Google is shallow.
Does Reddit Influence Google?
Lightly
Reddit appeared in only 1 of the 5 keyword SERPs ("quartz crystal oscillator"), with two threads — one on r/AskElectronics (DR 95) and a low-traffic r/ECE thread.
Does Reddit Influence AI?
No
Based on the prompts we tested, Reddit is not among the top 20 most-cited domains. For your category, Reddit isn't where AI models are pulling answers from.

Onsite conversion gaps
You're capturing intent at only one point — a generic contact form — and missing everything in between.
Domain rating far below competitors
Domain Rating is Ahrefs' 0–100 measure of backlink strength. Every top competitor sits between 56 and 84 — your DR of 0.2 means search engines have almost no third-party signal that mv-electronics.com is authoritative.
Domain Rating vs Organic Traffic
US database · monthly organic visits (log scale) · AhrefsTraffic is on a log scale — without it, MV (33 visits) and Microchip (334k) can't share an axis.
